It's time that we have a gathering of Elkies and whatever cool cars we have, project cars are just fine. I have been a member here a good while and I have owned my elkie for 3 years and more. It's time we get together and share. Will anyone make the effort to put on some kind of gathering. We don't need prizes and fancy stuff. Just a time to get together and share. I am in Marietta, GA and I am volunteering to find a location we can use for free. Anyone interested, really interested?

I agree! I just have to get mine on the road first. I am getting closer everyday.

Even if you can't drive it to the first gathering, it would still be worth your while to attend just to get any help you need and to exchange ideas.

i won't have mine out either for a few months and then no vacation till august but i would be interested in something like this. taken my '05 pt cruiser to an:beer: alabama show/rally:beer: last couple of years around birmingham and enjoyed completely.
if you get one together i will try my best to show but am in middle tenn so .......

If you guys do find a location and date and make it a 50th Anniversary Celebration I'll add you to the growing list of locations. All you'll need is a NECOA banner and attract as many Elky's as possible.

Your all invited to come south and get some warmer weather early ( I hope ) A group of members in various areas of Florida are meeting Feb 20 and 21 in Cocoa Florida at the Winterfest Show & Cruise-In we have piggy backed onto a open show with club parking we have 10 cars now and hoping for 15 there are many more but its always the same for many "to far, no money, cars not ready, my car is no a show car but we seam to get 12 to 18 cars each time we do this. This time its a show cruise type show and it does not matter at all wether your a driver or a show car done or in progress. WE GOT THE NECOA BANNER AND THE 50TH BANNER

I'm in the NW corner but sounds good. Would also like to make the run to Cocoa but that is not something I can say for sure. About a ten hour ride for me at 11 MPG. That is one of the places I call home though, having lived in Brevard county for several years. The place you had it at last year was about 1/2 mile from one of my former residences.

Does anyone know who the director of the GA,AL,TN region 7 is?

Why couldn't we set up something at the Daytona Turkey run. Either in the spring or fall like some other groups do. Could be a real blast! :yell:

What has worked for us is to piggyback off a car show or cruise in where someone else has the manpower , facility , music , food etc. Many are free or only charge a small registration fee ; while other members have simply met at a predetermined place and cruised out together . In case you did not know you can go through the member list and can now send out up to 10 private messages at one time to invite people . I `ve also gone through the ebay and Craigslist and contacted others that were selling a vehicle . Unfortunately , it is time consuming . I have a N.E.C.O.A. banner if you ever want to borrow that I can mail to you for a get together . Best of luck to you guys in Region 7 . Elki 85 , in case you have not seen it , there is a forum now in Region 6 , Fl. on the Turkey Run and several guys are going .

My GMC, caballero is down for ALTERATIONS, albet I have other modes of transportation and am ready to ride. Excellent Idea, count me in.

We are starting up a car club in the Marietta area to hold events. Just got incorporated, bank accounts set up. Working on bylaws now. Ought to start by June. Called Cool Cars Car Club to make it known no one is excluded. any car, any year, long as you think it is cool. I will post more as I know it. And I will post the website when I have it done.
