Hello, I'm new here and want to say hi.
I am 25 yrs old, have tinkered with cars in the past, but this past summer I helped a friend rebuild a Chevy 350 from a 76 Nova (then we put it in a s-10, the NOva was a pile of scrap) I've been wanting a chevy v8 since then, and finally got one.
It's my first v8 car. Two tone red and white 75 El Camino Classic, condition 7.5 out of 10. 350, double barrel, 3 speed auto, rally wheels, runs fantastic, Odometer says 50K miles, but that probably means 150K. As far as I know it was a one owner (sort of) An old man (don't know his name) bought it new and he passed away 8 years ago, his wife let it sit until september of last year, then traded it to the guy I got it from for some work he did for her, he didn't do anything with it until he sold it to me.
She had the tranny rebuilt before trading to owner 2, she thought it was messed up, but the fluid leaked during it's eight year rest, and instead of putting fluid in it, she had it rebuilt!
The old man had air shocks put on the rear, they seem to be fine, but I don't know if those are going to stay there or not.
I didn't get the door keys, only the ignition key, so I've got that to worry about right now.

I'll probably be hanging out here quite a bit, so I'll see y'all later.

Most El Caminos had Air Shocks from the factory. They helped that baby carry some weight when needed. Sounds like a nice Elky though, can't wait to see it.

Welcome to ECC / NECOA.
