Hi, all! My fiance and I have a 68 classic. We got it from the daughter of the original owner. It is ALL original, in near perfect condition. 98,000 actual miles. The master cylinder leaks and the paint is a bit faded (it is butternut yellow)...other than that, not a spot of rust, no dents, no dings...no tears or cracks in the interior. Where is the best place to find a value for this car? And where is the best place to try to sell it?

We aren't sure we want to sell it, but we know we have a very special car on our hands and we want to make sure it ends up where it will be fully appreciated. We wanted a car to just have fun and tool around in...we know this is a special collector because of it's condition.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Thanks!

☺You are correct ☼☼ It is a Classic ♥ ! ►If you post the Vin# here, and it is in fact all original, we can de-code the Vin to maybe give you a better idea as to what you really have◄ ▒ in any case, be sure you do your homework before you let it go, if that's in the future ▒ We will give you all the HELP we can to see that it STAYS ALIVE & WELL. ☻

Thanks for the advice...I will get the vin # and get that posted. We've never dealt with a car like this, and we know we don't know much! My mom restored a 67 Mustang Fastback when I was a kid, but all I cared about was how cool it was! LOL

We for sure don't want to do anything to drop the value of the car and if we decide to sell we want to make sure we know what it's really worth.

I'm pretty excited to find out exactly what we have!:nanawrench:

Thanks again!!!

Well I guess offering you 5 grand sight unseen isn't gonna fly huh? I'm kidding. Your already going about it the right way by asking questions. Keep asking. Honestly, I don't think there's a person on this site that can tell you exactly what it's worth, it's worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. But, if you can post up a few pics and the specs, numbers matching motor? Tranny? Rear? S/S? Rims? Even though it's faded is it the original paint? Then we could give you an honest 'guestimate', but that's all it would be. There's a few ways to restore such a car, but not before you know what you have.

Take your time, maybe get a couple pro appraisals, but even they can vary substantually. Good luck with it.
