Have used 350 crate motor. Front cam bearing has a small v- notch in it. Did I nick it when I pulled cam, or is this standard? Trying to do this on the cheap just to get it running. Will it lock up the new cam or can I replace just one bearing? Any help is greatly appreciated. New to chevy's. Sons 1st car.

depending on the maker of the bearing some do have a groove for oiling the front of the cam and timing chain.................Dan
