I've been looking for an open air element for my 82 El camino V6 229cid engine. The problems I'm running into is well one being its only a v6 (not much made more it out there ) and 2, my carb is set up as a triangle. Its hard to explain but if anyone knows what I'm talking about and has a solution or a sugestion (other than get a V8) please let me know.

I read somewhere if you flip the top of the air cleaner over it helps.

tried that it. The set up of my engine air intake is funky. It can't flip over. My air intake also is the type with a snorkle. I'll post a pick of my engine.
