Im talking about the chevelle. Well during the super bowl i saw a commercial for The new fast and the furious movie and it looks like vin diesel got a new toy. From what it looks like its a 1970 Chevelle ss. Now its a nice car but I HATE, i repeate, HATE! the ipposible stuff they make these cars do. I understand it is a movie but come on! a chevelle popping a what looks like 70 degree Wheelie, ON THE STREET!!!! Uhg at least make these movies a little realistic.:dontknow:

Thats possible if he built the engine up abd the gear ratio was right. You gatta remember none of the cars they show on there are supposed to be stock, and if you remember Vin Diesel was supposed to be a major gear head in that movie. If you look back to the first one you will remember that he helped his dad build a race car that he rebuilt and put into the garage, that one did wheelies as well. The wheelie isnt a myth ive seen it happen at the drags.:nanawrench:

Didn't see the commercial but if Vin's back in I'll see it. The other two movies were kind of a wash although the second one had some cool rides in it.

yes but remember drag strips have one thing regular streets dont. Sticky stuff on the driving surface. If a car has enough power to pop a wheelie it would just spin the tires on the street

they have most of the original cast (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1013752/) it looks like, i can only assume trying to redeem what little name they have from the second and third movies. The muscle cars in all four movies are drool worthy, it's the imports (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJoMBp_F0jI&feature=channel_page) that make all the shows a comedy.

With the oil trucks and the tricked out trucks i think it's going to make for an interesting story line - i just want to see a Pete do a 180 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCB-GTVxPjQ&feature=related) like in the teaser. I'll see it in theaters probably.

I've seen a chevelle do a wheelie almost like on the movie trailer at Bandimere during the Picks All out taping last year. So I know it can be done. I've seen it done several times. But never on the street. Like was said earlier. That kind of power would just spin the tires on the street.

I will most likely see the new Fast and Furious movie. I've seen the first three. First one I liked. The second was okay. And the third was really bad. The next....with all the original cast back might not be bad.

Thats true but wouldnt tires make a diffrence I mean if they had some big slicks that were really tacky wouldnt it still be able to pop a wheelie? I dunno but I think this one will make up for the third not having vin in it till the end of the movie and not even having him in the second mainly cus there gunna have more muscle cars.:nanawrench:

.
Sorry to deflate your balloon, It can be done, and IS done on the street, with STREET LEGAL cars. It's just not wise, nor safe to do so. That kind of HORSE PLAY should only be performed on a closed track. I know of three that can do it here in town at the drop of a dime, and there's most likely alot more I don't know about.
It's not something you see often, or ever, because They don't wan't their car impounded to never get it back, and trust me, the Man sees it, he takes it.

LOL I saw an outake of the filming about 6 months ago. Anyway when the Chevelle goes off screne, you see a big ugly rack hangin a couple of feet off the back bumper filled with heavy junk to counterweight the car.

Actually, what impresses me more than a wheelstand is going down the freeway at around 70 next to a 3rd gen Chevelle. Reason is that there's just nothing that says power more than the rear tires chirping when the dude driving hits passing gear. Burnouts from a standstill are one thing but to chirp at speed?! That's freakin' power right there...

Don't know why they would be jealous, quiet a few years ago there was a lot of modes of transportation in China that would stand up and go on two wheels. I believe it is called a RICKSHA...:barf::poke:
