Hello from Western PA! Just found this forum today from a magazine article. Looks like a decent venue, so I signed up. I have a '87 Conquista in "cruise" condition, but not show-worthy. Basically just a stock 305, with the upscale 60/40 interior, 15 inch rallys 7 and 8 inch wide with 235/60 fronts and 275/60 rears. Sway bars, steering box and steering wheel from a T-Type Buick. Looking forward to sharing information.

Welcome, I think if it is road worthy it should be taken to the shows. I'll bet even the quys with the perfect show cars know there is something else they need to do. Enjoy the forum, I know I do.

I have a question for those who have been around a while. I was in Orlando visiting some friends back in August '04. We were looking for cruises to attend, and noticed the NECOA show was at Old Town at Kissimmee that Saturday. Went to the top of our vacation "to do" list. Well, hurricane Charley hit hard Friday night. 125 mph winds, and more destruction than this Yankee's ever seen. Saturday was spent cleaning up the mess at our friends' house, shingles, broken windows etc., and chasing ice. By Saturday nite we decided to pack up and head back to PA to lessen the burden on the people we were visiting, so we never made it to the show. My question is; Was the show ever held, or was it cancelled?
BTW thanks all for the warm greetings.

Everyones like hey stick around youll be the only elky here so i paid my fee, threw my trash in my bed put on tonneau cover to hide it told em id be right back to wash my Cruck, Little secret they Said we like to see how long we can go with out washing our show cars!!!---:dontknow:--No Joke the chevelle guy and 55' dude showed me the dirt on there cars! Thanks for all the welcome comments! My El Cam is gonna be very mad at me soon. I just changed jobs, and lost my company car. Until I get settled in, and make a few bucks, my Camino might see some daily driver duty. The commute is only six miles, all secondary roads, but winter isn't over yet here in western PA. My baby hasn't seen a snowflake in the 16 years I've owned it. I hope it doesn't try to punish me by breaking something stupid. I have a spare trans, but my 5.7 replacement is still in the shortblock stage. I just can't bear to finish it up with the stock '93 heads, so we're waiting for the $$ to get a set of Vortecs or aftermarket heads. I've already replaced the cherished "disc brake" flat caps from my 'vette rally wheels with the regular derby centers, and installed temporary mudflaps. Those who live in the north know quite well that there are very few vehicles that are worse in the snow than an El Camino, especially with a one-legger rear end. We could have a tense morning or two coming up.
