: need help installing my air dam for 87 elky!!!

i just bought an air dam for my 87 elky and it only came with 4 screws!?! do i need to buy more bolts in order to install it? please help me out if u can.

If memory serves me right you should also have a flat bracket the runs along the inner fender lip for each side. The two screws attach to it, the holes in the fender are clearance between the air dam and bracket. My info is for '78. I know cause I had to have a fender replaced and the flat rate F@#$ -Up at the body shop didn't see the need to put it back on after repairs were made.

I looked this weekend and the brackets get mounted to the lower front of the fender and not in the wheel well area. That would correspond to Pic #1, the yellow circles

thank you guys for the info it helped alot! but i still have one problem.... the outside part of the air dam that sets against the fender dosen't connect to the fender!! how can i make it stick so that it dosen't flap in the wind??and look ugly on my freshly painted elky?? please help if you can

i got the air dam from honest charley's and it only came with 4 self tapping screws. i had to buy the 3 bolts in the front..there were no pre drilled holes....could it also be because i drive a stock 87?? please help

thanks for all ur info though it really helped...my buddies dad said i could use 2 sided body tape i hope it works!
