Has anybody seen or done a Monte Carlo LS front end on a Camino? I think the composite headlights and integrated front bumper would look sweet. You could always tell someone it was the 1988 prototype front end that got cancelled when they axed production in '87. I've been told that the Monte is about 3/4 inch wider so you would need to change both fenders and doors. Trying to find a good set of Monte doors would be a chore here in the rust belt. Does anybody know if this is a doable conversion?

From what I have read, it is possible. But, it's not easy. There is a lot of fabrication involved, such as grafting Monte door skins on your Elky doors to make everything look right. If you want it to look like the "88 Elky that never was, Lauren Engineering makes a Lumina nose kit with composite lights that might give you the look you're after: http://www.laureneng.com/1217025.html
Here's a nice one that someone did: http://www.laureneng.com/1530897.html

Wow really like the LS nose maybe more the Choo choo nose. Think that may be beyond my body work skills ! I like all the kits but has alway been way to expensive for me. Saw one years ago they used a Pontiac Lemans quad lights nose, think 78 was the only year and the complete interior from a Grand Prix, ram air 400ci motor, shaker hood from TA very COOL,:dontknow:

I saw this car in person today, and all I can say is that the pictures do not do it justice. Simply beautifully executed, whether you like the mods or not.

Yes composite lights from a 87 celebrity work well that is what I used also. You can use monte carlo and cutlass composites too but they require much more work to fabricate. As far as el with ls clip yes it can be done.
