Hello everybody, what a nice forum you have! Congrats! Maybe a little bit too split-up, but with a little experience it'll be helpfull and a big fun.
As you can guess from my nick, I'm something like a double outlaw in your eyes: I ride a 77 camino, diesel convert (uhhh, that really suxx). Here in Germany, the land of high taxes and gas prices, I was glad to find a camino which was converted into a diesel. It is a winter-project because it was disassembled and some parts (complete dashboard, rear bumper, ...) were lacking. You can imagine that it is quite hard to find parts for this unusual car! But I was lucky, it is nearly complete now. My girlfriend will pick up some front bumper fillers when she is in SF next month, which I found on ebay.
This car will be no trailer-queen or show car, it really will have to drive! It's gonna be my summer-daily and I drive 100 miles each day minimum just to go to/from work. This is another reason for a diesel, you treat it fair and it brings you everywhere!
I wish I could show a picture, but I got no webspace/homepage, anybody an idea??

Yep Tommy, german winters really suck! Thank god for my m 1009 blazer with extra heater (I don't know the word), no ice-scratching and a warm motor in the morning ... even my dog appreciates it.
Hmm, disassembling/reassembling a steering column, a injection-pump or a rear-end ... no problem - but computer is another world. So it will be difficult with some pix of my baby...btw, it is just an ordinary el camino with no extras or modifications. The best on this ride is the shape of the metal, its in a really really good condition. Never knew that a 27 years old car could look that great (obviously never restored), no rust, no weldings! So if you want to see it, I'll have to email some pix to anybody who might put it on his homepage and links it, is that possible?? How can I get a photo in my profile, without hp??
