I live in South East Florida, lots of sun and rain, the car has a fresh coat of paint and will spend a lot of time parked outdoors. Here's the question, would a car cover be better than none? It seems a car cover outdoors is always flapping in the wind possibly wearing the paint, also the moisture goes through the cover. Thanks

Perhaps instead of a car cover, a mobile, tent/garage?:dontknow: They run a bit more, but could be worth looking into.

You are right about the cheap cover, under $20 on special. The last canvas car port I had was blown away during high winds (was not secured properly), damaged the neighbor's cars, the hurricane was going north turned around and hit us. Any suggestions on a good car cover? Thanks

A good cover from even local car shop($70-120) can be secured under the car with cable/tie. Definetely better than the Hot Fla. Sun. Water should penetrate to prevent trapping steam on hot/humid days.

That's what I'm trying to decide, with all the flapping how much wear is it causing. I'm considering the canvas carport, had one a few years back and it was nice it even had sides with a zip up front, that's the one the wind blew away. The thing about the carport is that they are a little ugly in front of the house and the wife (can't say she may look)
