Put some 2 in drop spindles on the elky tonite, makes the camino set just perfect...imo. I went from 27 in from the front fender lip to 25 in, that makes the tire sit just in the fender and i think it makes the car look great!
It's a pretty easy job, and took less than 3 hrs, thats with my 7 yo grandson helping, may have been a lot longer without the good help. :texas:
What did you do in the rear? What size tire/rim are you using? Pictures please

That El Camino is lookin' GOOD, texaselky! Are you running 14s or 15s on it, and what size? It looks to me that you're running 15s, 'cause they really fill up the wheel well! Mine has a 1 1/2 inch drop on both ends, with 15X7s, 225X15s, on the front, and 15X8s, 245X15s, on the rear. I have 265X15s for the rear, but I've got to find some wider wheels for them (some day).............Ken
On another note - Did you ever contact Sir Tonk about convoying to Carlisle? I left you a post on another Thread, but you may not have seen it.
You & DDD need to stop complaining about the missed show!!! You both earned Best in Show for the different classes you entered - I'll bring the both of you your trophies at the June 6 meeting!

I've been contemplating a 2" drop on my 3rd gen elky (71). This disc bake conversion is really high on my list of things to do and I was just gonna go ahead and order the drop spindle kit. Texaselky I think your post convinced me to just do it. By the way your ride looks nice.

I have 15x6 with 215/65/15 on the front, 15x8 with 255/60/15 on the rear, I may have to drop the rear as well, haven't decided yet.
LOL, Best of show at the first one I've been to?
Thats awsome!!!!:nanawrench: I need to get out a little more often!
