Bought a repo 85 mirror as well because my old one had a black scratch across the mirror.. no pictures.
The car had problems where the mirror joystick and lock switch on the driver side fell in.. today we took the lower door panel off and hooked up the buttons and joystick both work.. but its weird.. the lock would only unlock and i kept doing it after 30 minutes of messing around with it the door locked?? then stopped then later on i got it to work.. so we just put the panel back on and if u hit the lock or unlock its a chance of 1/3 it will work ha.. also funny about that the windshield washing fluid wouldn't work for awhile could not understand why but one day it just started working.. me and my dad think its his mother who passed away that's fixing everything we can't ha ha stuff just starts working because the car knows were taking care of it again..
I installed a new directional switch.. this car has cruise control and the old one had chrome flakes coming off so for 30 bucks why not.. no pictures till tomorrow check for the update**

thanks much so this has been a great experience for now! more to come from

Good work. Just keep repairing that little stuff and pretty soon you'll have a good running and good looking Elky.

Here's some free advice, it does'nt get any cheaper. The more little things you do the better you'll get to know your car.

Free advice --- Keep working with your dad, you will both benefit.

:nanawrench: Looking good already. Will have to agree with the above post, the more you fix, the more you find to fix. Will say this, take care of all the mechanical issues up front versus getting stereo, paint, and rims as there is nothing worse than a nice looking car, great paint job, cool rims, bumping stereo......with the hood up on the side of the freeway:let_it_all_out:

Good luck and keep the pics and changes coming.
