Ok, well I posted a thread recently about taking my body off of my frame, well I go to take out my bolts attached to the frame and body and there are eight of them. Here were I come into the problem, every single bolts is so and and so rusted that I am guessing that it came off of the body and the weld and now there is no way to get these off unless I start cutting into the actual body. I got the first two off in front of the cab then the two behind the seat are the ones I'm getting off now. I got the driver side off by cutting underneath of the smugglers box but the one on the passenger side will not even come off, even if I have someone hold a wrench at the top. Here are some of the pictures of these.

Passenger Side Body Mount that will not come out

Then my other problem is that I can't get the others off underneath of the truck bed and there is no way to get to them, does anyone have any experience with this or ideas?

Thanks,
Neil

Are you having trouble with the mounts themselves or the bolts? A die grinder or dremel cut off, should make ease of the bolts. If the mounts are actually stuck after that gonna have to lube them and keep working them over and over also try sliding thin piece of metal between it like a putty knife. even if it cuts it in 2. your going to get new ones anyway.. Let me know if theres something I missed I may have read it a little wrong.

Well the bolts are not the problem, its the actual mount themselves that hold the nut on the the end of the bold, its like it keep spinning around when I go in with an impact wrench and won't unscrew.

Well you will have to cut, grind, drill, through the bolt or nut somehow. there are tons of options but I don't know what tools you have.

you've got a real problem here- try soaking the mount area with a rust penetrant- let soak for a week ( keep putting more on each day) at the end of a week if they will not loosen cut the heads off and work a thin cutting tool up along the bolt shank to loosen it, then cut the mount off and slide it out- it this dosen't work completely cut away the mount area - you will then have to weld in new mounts- lots of luck- this is a real tough- dirty-knuckle busting job.:secret:
