I accitdentally broke mine during a freeze last week and I was wondering if they have Wiper Arms at Advanced Auto, Pep Boys, or Atozone. Anybody know if they do?

Thanks

I looked around at the local parts shops for new arms for my 66 with no luck at all. OPG has arms for 64 to 72 available. The 64 to 67 arms are 19.95 w/o the blades, the 68 to 72 arms are 89.95 a set with blades included.

I picked up a spare pair at a local salvage yard for my fifth gen. for just such an emergency. I only need the passenger side. Which one did you break?

Since you didn't post a year,I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and assume you have a 5th gen.(since the vast majority of folks on here do).
You can still get them at a GM dealer. The part numbers are:
20301183 RH & 20151254 LH for 82-87 Elky's.

Do they all come flat black or are there different part #'s

Sorry about leaving off the year. It's a 79'.

How difficult is the replacement? Will I need any special tooling?

BTW, Thanks for the replies- I'll most likely try for the GM dealership...

The 78-81 use gray metal units. The LH is 20009417 and RH is 20301182. The RH is discontinued though.

They use a lock tab that you have to move to get them to come off. There's a special fork tool that the parts store has for popping them off once you unlock the tab if you can't get them off. Those numbers for the 82-87 will fit the 78-81's as they use the same wiper transmissions, the color will be black as opposed to gray metal if that makes a differance to you.

So if I want to get the gray metal wiper arm, the Junkyard may be the only option?

I may end up having to get a LH and a RH for the 82-87 so they will match. Thanks for your help and I'll let you know if I can't get them on.
