has anyone removed the antenna off their elky ? and was it worth the effort of patching up the hole where it was compared to how it looks with out it

The second thing I did. Looks clean but I had to install a windshield with antenna to get good radio reception no matter what parts/tricks I tried. Thers's a lot of things I'd do different but the antenna isn't one of them.
