Hello guys! I just got my 69 elky and I feel young again! I need to spool up on mechanical data so I can keep it running strong. I have a 350 CID with a 350 turbo tranny and a 355 posi 10 bolt wih a comp 200 cam in it now and I just bought a BG750 cfm speed demon carb for it. It really scoots already but I hope to improve the responce. Looks like there are many sweet elkys in this membership and I hope to add my pictures soon.

Hi There,
Having arrived here in Las Vegas from Mountlake Terrace about four years ago, I recently purchased a replacement for my last El Camino after a near thirty year lapse, the last one purchased new from Lough GMC in Seattle.
So now I have a 1978 El Camino with a 350 V-8 and the turbo automatic
which is a two tone blue and needs some TLC after 140 thousand miles. Still, the dual exhaust has a note of authority and it cruises quite nicely. I wish it was new but with a little time and money it should clean up pretty nicely.
Perhaps it is futile to reacquire our youth, but it is worth a shot! Viva El Camino!

Hi Carl,
Now maybe you can see why I left Snohomish County for Las Vegas. It is generally warm enough even for those cold blooded 350's to drive them year round down here, and little rain to spoil your wash job or wear out the windshield wiper motors.
Happy motoring,
Eric
