Starting with the 1985 El Camino GM began putting the Service Parts Identification Label inside the glove box.

Welcome to ECC/NECOA Mike!

First of all, turn off the "Caps Lock". It's considered shouting.

Then read this. (http://elcaminocentral.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=7641&highlight=#7641)

and read this too. (http://elcaminocentral.com/postt1802.html)

When you go to visit your baby bring your camera. Then post some pictures here in the "Members Gallery". I'm sure there are lots of ECC members that will give you an opinion on value.

never found RPO codes in car, but might be in headliner...However, followed a forum a couple months back on how to get original invoice for your GM, and to my delight the thing arrived in my mailbox about a month ago............................................My ElCamino is a "true" Black Knight(z16)...it was ordered by a Chevy Dealer down the road from my old service/sales shop in Indiana for the Uncle of the guy I got it from...What is so special to me is that the trim colors were locked in for black or camel with NO Zp2 override exceptions, but as found out from an x sales manager at the dealer, due to the small number of orders placed for this package, the very last cars to roll off assembly were granted with whatever option that had been denied if the dealer still wished to receive the order, therefore, although unable to prove yet, I may have the only Black Knight with Carmine Red interior.......the radiator and gas tank were upgaded too, but it is definitely a Z16 Black Knight SS...............thank god-I traded a 1967 Dodge Dart GT all original for this car.................I'll find a way to scan the invoice if possible and post it with some recent pictures---------anybody interested in trading a 70 SS big block clone for a real deal?????????

My '84 also has the label in the glove box

The RPO tag is on the inside of the glovebox door. You should see it as soon as you open the door.
