After how my wallpaper was well accepted i have thought of putting a screensaver together. It will be basically a slide show but i need images!

I say go for it. Use the images in the calendar gallery, you could make a new screen saver every year!

I must of missed your link in the Recent Forums. A lot of the time subjects get bounced out fast if there is a lot of topics going on. Sometimes I don't always have the time to go back to the forum back logs and read all of them. I'm sure you will get more e-mail and response here again. :-P

I've just been waiting to get the exterior of my Elky done and take it somewhere that I can take some decent pics to send to you. Time has just been against me.

No matter what try to move ahead on this. Take a look at the calendar submissions. Even the pictures that didn't make it to the calendar would be great for a screensaver.

Yes they are. But I wanted submitions. Mainly because i wanted to see if the interest was there for one. I don't want to spend 15 hous on a screen saver that no one will use, know what i mean :idea:

I would use one. I would be proud if you would use a pic from my gallery. It's in my sig. 8-)

it's a lot easier if u just save a whole lot of el camino pics to the "my pictures folder", then go to display, then screen saver and just choose "My Pictures slideshow" this way u can have pics of practically anything u want including el camino's
that's what i did<shrug> i have lots of pics of elky's, corvettes, bel airs, girls, lamborghini's.. cool stuff like that :cool:
BTW i'm using windows xp, so it might not be in the previous versions of windows.

just wondering if anything has happened with this? i have been looking for an Elcamino screen saver for a long time. if more pics are needed i will send mine.

The participation was luke warm. Many just went to the gallerys and got the ones they wanted and used windows XP to make there own "My Pictures" screensavers.

I guess I didn't see the original post either. The idea of a screensaver sounds pretty good, so I did as suggested and went to the calendar submission area and pulled all the pics used for the 2005 calendar. I created a screensaver that can be configured for personal preference (shuffle images, effects, music on/off). I uploaded it to one of my personal websites if anyone wants it.

Thanks. I think for the 2006 version, I'll make it as "shareware" rather than "freeware". Unregistered users will see a "nag screen" asking them to make a donation to the site.

Put your mouse on all the little boxes that appear above the text area when you type a post. You will see there are icons for links, graphics, email, etc.
