I am a new El Camino owner (81) When I bought the car the gauges did not work. After tearing the pod apart, I found that the contacts on the circuit were not secure. It is all working now except the speedometer and the clock (which will tick a few times and stop). I removed the cable fromn the gauge, and it is intact. My problem is, I cannot get it loose from the transmission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ALSO NEED A REPAIR MANUAL W SCHEMATICS If anyone can help I would be eternally grateful!!!!!!!!! :bat_angel:

This may help you with the Clock > http://elcaminocentral.com/showthread.php?t=28479

These may help with the Wireing > http://elcaminocentral.com/articles/wiring/811.gif

As far as the Cable, there should be a keeper held by a bolt holding it in. If you have removed that, you may have to twist it to pull it out with pliers. Sometimes the "O" ring will swell and become stuck, or someone has used silecone on it to seal it.
