I am redoing my 78 and my old grill cannot be cleaned up to look good on top of a rechromed bumper. I am thinking of purchasing a new one from the El Camino Store or OPG. The El Camino Store states that it is not a SS, but the only difference is suppose to be that the spaces are not black. The picture is not close enough to see what it looks like. Has anyone purchased a 1978 and if so what do they look like, or could you post/e-mail me a close-up picture.
Thanks for any help

I bought an aftermarket grille from dixie monte carlo about 2 years ago. It's just a standard el camino grille. He also has the emblem. Although the emblem isn't original it's made from a center cap emblem, it looks good.
