Dos anyone know the sway bar sizes on 5th Gen El Caminos? I have a 1979 with 1 1/4 " front bar and no rear bar. It also has two braces that go fron the front crossmember to the radiator support but no bars in the engine compartment that I've seen going from the radiator support to the fenders. Did the standard suspension include a 1 1/4" front sway bar and the lower braces or was it an optional suspension? I want to put on a rear bar. What sizes were the bars on El Caminos with F41? Were there different sizes on other GM G models? Should the rear bar be smaller than the front? How much smaller?

Also why are they called sway bars---isn't there purpose antisway?

Search is your friend. The stock rear bar was 7/8 for all suspensions.
