These are all past rides; the first one is a 78 Nova with a 454 I built for my son when he turned 16 (that's him leaving for school on his birthday), next is my 88 FXSTC, then my 96 FXSTC. The Camaro is a 67 RS/SS with a 502 and nitros, 680hp at the back tires before the 150 shot, high 9's on 108 octain and 3mpg. Finally my 79 Corvette, 4 years and far too much money to get into this shape never ever buy a cheap Corvette you will break the bank restoring it. When I bought this car I paid $1500.00 and drove it home, where it promply stopped running, then I had to replace nearly everything. Sadly these rides are no longer in my possession, after I had my accident they had to be sold off in order to pay house hold bills while I rolled around in a wheel chair. Now I am really excited about putting my Ellie together, been a tough 6 years to get back to where I could work on another car, this is gonna be fun, can't hardly wait to crank it up! Really want to thank you guys for being here, already learning a lot.

From one "cripple" to another it will probably not be as easy to get it done as it was in years past...which will just make it sweeter. Between knee surgery/temporary colostomy bag/1 post op hernia surgery down-one to go, in the past 4 years; I can relate to how good it feels to get back into a project. Just don't be suprised or let it beat you that your enthusiasm will probably be greater then your physical capability at first. It really sucks when you do something as simple as dropping a socket and you have to figure out how to retrieve it...thank God for telescoping magnets. Looks like you have a stong healthy boy to help on the heavy lifting...use him and abuse him. I will be looking for progress pic's and pulling for you.

Thanks Dead,
The way I look at it is in a few years I will never have to stand in line again, now I get really good parking spaces that are wide enough that idiots don't hit your doors getting out of their car. Except at Wal mart, I'm beginning to think there is a secret cripples meeting somewhere in Wally world, the handicapped spaces are always full there. And last but not least I have perscriptions for types of drugs I had to buy off the streets in the 70's, so all in all not a bad deal all I had to give up is running (because of the bar from my hip to my knee, my right leg is about 1 1/2" longer than the left, now I can only run in circles) oh and not being able to walk the next day if I over do it. Of course I'm always "over doing" it as long as I can walk, I'm gonna dance no matter how much it hurts!

I hear ya Vet, and there were more but those were the ones I actually had pictures of, lol. The fact is I love all things with moters and wheels that can go fast and I see the list of cars under members names and wouldn't mind seeing them, so I started this thread.
