Hope someone can help?????
I had a 350 block rebuilt. I have only 120 miles on it , still breaking it in. My PVC system is working great to the crankcase but it does not have a baffle on it . With that being said I am not sure if that is why the breather has a little oil coming up from the other valve cover to the air filter???? I know that a little oil will go there , that is why the foam filter is on the inside of the filter to stop that . I guess the little air breather filter fell out and oil came up in the air cleaner???? It scares me to think a brand new rebuilt would have problems already?? No smoke is coming out of tail pipe. There is a little soot in the tail pipe but thats cause it was running a little rich.

Please help verify what really happens with that breather tube and do I really need a baffle on the PVC, If so by not having one will it cause oil to go to the other valve cover in a way?

Thank you......

Like you said the motor is still being broken in, you will get a little oil being forced up into that breather tube until the rings get seated.
You really should have a baffle on that PCV valve it can suck oil vapors up into the carb.

Welcome to ECC first of all.
Second, I'd say you have NOTHING to worry about at this time. What your describing is normal
during Break in. As stated, I'd get Valve covers with a built in Baffle as well as replace that
filter element.:nanawrench:

:nanawrench: Man,
Thank you for getting back to me, It means a lot.
Thanks for your encouraging words. I will run it and forget about it. I will fix the baffle for the pvc too.
