Use caution if you choose to deal with this individual. Make certain you will have recourse if things do not reach a satisfactory conclusion.

Interesting there are no responses back from the original poster and the vague nature of the post to begin with. I tend to resent someone "telling" me what to do, not allowing me to draw my own conclusions. I find not giving details usually means the accuser is simply mad about something but doesn't think others will agree with him/her so they do a "drive by" just to hurt the other party. Now all of this is just conjecture on my part I just think it is suspect there is no "why", I mean there are people in my life that have no need to explain anything they hurt and no matter what, I'm on their side "I got their Back" but this poster and I have not been through enough to trust unconditionally a statement by them without some explanation. If there is something I need to know about this other guy I would be grateful to know it, but tell me what happened so I can make my own judgment. Just my opinion, I don't like dealing in rumor.

Really like your quote OZ, I have heard it put differently but it means the same thing; "good is the enemy of best".

Research shows Okie Malibu was looking to buy interior parts from JRS9C1. He needs to come back and elaborate on the problem.
Same as JRS9C1 needs to respond. He has visited the site today but evidentally didn't respond.

Hey moderator! If both sides are not represented here maybe it would be best to delete the thread.

Ok contestants get ready to play "GUESS WHAT HE DID". Here are the rules each contestant gets one acusation, the one who guesses right will receive a wonderful attaboy. The winner will be chosen by the acuser (if he ever "drives by" again). contest not open to residents of ALK, HI, PR and where prohibited by law.

Use caution if you choose to deal with this individual. Make certain you will have recourse if things do not reach a satisfactory conclusion.Explain your situation and give the other person a chance to explain their side. To just make a vague random statement about someone isn't appropriate IMO. "I don't like Fords so you guys should use caution with dealing with them"...see doesn't work...an explanation of why I don't like Fords...works..."my Schnauzer, Mr T, got run over by a new Mustang GT that the brakes failed on that was being recklessly driven by a Ford Salesman...and he didn't stop to give mouth to mouth resuscitation to my dog." ...now that would be an explanation of why I don't like a particular Ford salesman...however the reason for using caution would be that the Mustang GT's brakes failed. I was an English major also..but failed...so I can't speak English...good thing I have this program installed on my PC, that translates everything I say and read or I'd never be able to understand some of you guys! Most of my native language consists of four letter words.:cussing:along with hand gestures.

Shipped half of what was agreed upon, gave me the runaround for 7 weeks, and then denied that the missing parts (which were the main pieces I originally asked for) were in the deal, despite my having sent photos of EXACTLY what pieces I wanted.

I initially accepted that it was a simple oversight...I don't really know what the case was. I suspect that he was simply overwhelmed by the magnitude of the requests. After close to 2 months, and many missed ship dates, I no longer felt there was any chance of a satisfactory outcome. Rather than screaming that he was a crook, I felt a simple caution would suffice.

There you go. Moot point now, the Camino is gone, and the issue has been handled via payment method processor.

I must stand with Okie on this one. I too ordered several parts from this individual. My experience was similar. After two months of excuses and promised shipping dates, I finally received most of the parts. They were poorly packaged and not cleaned as was promised by the shipper. Prior to this, I mentioned to him the negative post on this board. His response was that he didn't really care, he just wanted to, " get rid of this crap ".
You do take chances when you trust an unknown to take your money and send you parts. Tom did return my emails and phone calls, I never considered him to be crooked, just a bit in over his head. Again, I wouldn't call him dishonest and Okie never did, but certainly a warning to other board members was a genuine service.
Some posts seem to accuse Okie of not telling both sides. Tom was free to post his side of the story, but chose not to.
I commend Okie on attempting to save his brethren the headaches he experienced without flaming.

what a scum bag. I still remember that 1 jerk that tried to steal like $2700 from me on this site. Mr. George Bowers... Baltimore area. When my credit card company gave me back my money i once again re-affirmed what a blank he was and that justice prevailed. He responded with a smile (over the internet) and basically said the credit card company let him keep his money and gave me back mine. Guess that explains high interest rates. :???: Some people just deserve to be beaten with a monkey wrench.

Our sick society has a lot of those types of people. Ebay has some too of course, but mostly good folks there in my dealings. Buyer beware is a good term if ya don't really know any background.
Having a heads-up on here is fair in my opinion.
