I just got the good news! The El Camino classes for this year will be by generation so we will have five separate classes, no combinations like before. This is really good news.

The new judging criteria has been set for Carlisle. For those familiar with Carlsile it has always been a peer judging event. This year will be different, the vehicles will be judged by a team of judges. This means the "wow" factor is eliminated. The vehicles are judged on form and fit and condition and not whether some guys girlfriend [prefers the red one over the blue one or likes the shiny engine.

Go to this link for full details and rules: http://www.carlisleevents.com/ce/pdf/2009_GM_Judging_Guidelines.pdf

Great news, Leo! Thanks for all the hard work, encouraging the membership into getting off their behinds and signing up. As I understand it, we also get a big discount off the larger tent because of the number of pre registrations. I'll buy you a cold one Thursday afternoon (Just as long as you promise to call your minions off texaselky & myself on Sunday in time for the El Camino give-a-way.)...........Ken
