I know this is probadly to early to talk about but are we going to have a bad weather back up plan?

A backup plan is probably not a bad idea. Tommy, as you and talked about yesterday, University Place is only a few miles from the park. There are several eatery's over there where we could take things inside if need be.

Bobby is so right. This is not about looks, it's about getting together to discuss cars & such. I learn from these meets as I hope everyone does. Please come even if the Elky can't. 8)

The park's easy enough to find. I guess what we DO need to nail down though is where in the pard we're gonna meet?

I was thinking the first or second part. It depends if their are people allready there. I plan to go around 12:00 or 12:30 to set us up a spot.

Sorry i've been MIA the past couple weeks. Been traveling during the week...and travelin on the weekend too. Worst part is that it ain't gonna slow down until after the Auto Fair 8O . Hope i got the stamina to make it that long! :lol:

I put in a set of new "heavy duty" springs in the back....but it didn't lift it any. Just make it stiffer. I still want to try those malibu wagon springs.

Fellows, I do hope you have a great time in Charlotte on March 20th, wish I could attend but I am also in the Studebaker Club and we have a meet planned here in Raleigh at the same time.

OK folks from Charlotte. It may seem simple to you, but the directions I got from maps. com aren't. I'm coming in from the north on 85 and it says to take exit 45 to W Wt Harris Blvd., Go 2.3 miles, and then staight on W T Harris Blvd for .2 miles ???, then straight on E Wt Harris Blvd??? for 1.1 miles and turn left on state hwy 2828 (Rocky River Rd) for 1.0 miles. End of directions. Apparently this must be the entrance to Reedy Creek Park. If it is, where do you go from there? I don't believe the park is that small, or is it?

From 85 you will take 45a going east. You stay on Harris around 4 miles till you get to rocky river. Rocky River road is 1 or 2 lights past University Hospital . Turn left onto Rocky River .Off that is the front enterance on the right . Reedy Creek park is very long & spread out. We will meet in the first or second part. Look for a orange Camino, I am sure there will not be many there. :) If any of you have problems, call me on my cell 704-619-2169.

Got a break last night from laying ceramic tile and took a look at my tranny. I pulled the dust shield and everything that could be leaking above was as dry as it could be. It appears that the fluid drained from the cooler lines and converter since it sat so long and flooded the pan. I could see around the pan gasket where it had seeped through. I re-torqued the pan bolts hoping that would stop it. So Tommy as you said, I'll just fill it up with fluid and see how it runs. The only thing left to do is replace a collector gasket and I'm good to go, barring any unforseen problems.

Cool, So that's 5 confirmed so far. Is their anyone else we should be looking for? Like I said before if anyone has a problem call me on my cell. Look forward to seeing you.

DONE! Now I have to wait until tomorrow for a test drive so I can check the fluid level. Now that I can relax I'll be sipping a little Crown Royal and cruising the site!

the only thing I got left that is done and relible right now is a 69 charger----I'm sure that would go over good...I ain't driving the BK without going through it first, and my other 2 need major love at this point.

Haven't had a lot of input from any other areas in the Carolinas! :cry: If you were to post a Meet in your area, they will come. Your only 2 and a half hours from me. Their are a few of us that are going to Oakboro next week to check it out. I am sure there will be more cruises & such to keep us as busy as our wives will let us! Gee, I hope that just made sense. We have also talked about doing a family outing somewhere this summer to meet our families. Black knight, bring the Charger. This is not just about seeing the Elkys, but meeting the guys that love them!

I wish i could have made it.............I am raising my six(almost 7) year old daughter all by myself, and have been for over four years, and her favorite car is the El Caminos- she wanted a purple Royal Knight w/t-tops like a trans am, but I bought her a Black Knight instead.....she gets pissed at me when she sees it and I won't drive it....so I will bust it out next week and get it ready for next time.........

I would love to sponsor a Elky meet down here... I must know of 15-20 guys with one, and if we made it a Chevy "Truck" meet, we could blow the roof off..........I'll ask my brother who works at a Chevy dealer if they would sponsor it also.............

I've already been to 4 carshows this spring in this area, lotsa cool people down here and they all bring family and kids
