Alright.. heres whats up,
My old 2 barrel carb's fuel line intake was directly out the front, but, as some of you know the rockester 4 barrel carburetors run out the front then turn to the side, (so they hook up in from the left) should I:

1. get a new fuel line ($) :?
or
2. Run my fuel line around the side. (the problem with this is my fuel line may be dangerously close to my headers.... small explosion hazard.... or it may just heat my fuel up, which some say effects performance..)

or maybe
3. extend my fuel line ( is this possible? maybe with a rubber link of some sort.. will this affect fuel pressure? )

i've been looking at the chrome fuel lines at summit and jegs, seems not too expensive.. give me your opinions.

What is your definition of "dangerously close"? A quick fix would just be to use neoprene reinforced hose and hose clamps, a correct fix would be to buy a steel tubing bender, flaring tool (flaring steel tubing is a headache in itself), fittings, and the right diameter tubing and make your own that will fit. Some Auto Parts stores sell tubing with the fittings on and already flared (in different lengths), you just have to bend it. Or you could buy the one from Summit or Jegs. Whatever you decide, just make sure it doesn't leak or "POOF!!!" 8O

You can buy rubber fuel line at any auto parts store. Works great & lasts for years.

What I did was, cut the metal fuel line at the top where it curve's above the Intake manifold, flair it, add a rubber gas line from there to an "Inline Fuel Filter" then another piece of rubber fuel line to a Nipple fitting into the Carb...this way, you have verry little rubber line (which dosen't last too long before they start cracking) & it give's your New Carb more protection! I use the Glass Fuel Filter so I can see the junk in the Gas & clean it out! LOOK'S COOL TOO!!! "SKULL"
