OK so it's been incessant rain here as most of you know if you're following the US Open... it's just down the road from me.
The Elky needs a bath so I pull it out of the garage in a light drizzle.
I wash the car in the drizzle.
Just as I'm ready to pull it in the garage to dry it... the sun comes out!
I dry it outside.
I walk into the garage to get the keys to pull it back into the garage and.. Well yes, you guessed it... the skies opened up!
So I had to dry it in the garage anyway.
The sun is popping in and out now.
So far this has been a fun day! :???:

Tell me about it Leo. I live near Trenton and the past 6 days have sucked. The weather people called rain on Tuesday, but it was only cloudy. The rest of the week it rained and at times rained pretty hard. Today I was going to a car show in Philly, but they canceled it because they thought there would be rain. What would you know not a lick of rain :???:

Leo, how come your not at the Open if your that close, is it the weather?:???: anyway you know how it is about carwashing, even if your in the middle of a terrible drought, all you have to do is wash your car; it will surely rain right after that! i just hope we get decent weather for Carlisle :nanawrench:

The grounds are all mud there, to even get there you have to park... I'm not kidding... as much as 20 miles away and they then bus you. So I live 4 miles from Bethpage but I have to drive to Jones Beach (15+ miles) to take a bus to come back here. Wacky doesn't begin to describe it. :dontknow:
Forecast for Carlisle is actually quite good: :nanawrench:
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 89.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 87.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 87.
Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 87.
Leo , i could almost walk down to that mess but its like bringing the car out of the garage as soon as i do that it will rain on me,watch it from the comfort of your house and stay dry. carl

I hope the weather stays nice up there. I'm leaving for Carlisle this morning. Should be there Thursday mid-afternoon, after stopping to see my son's family south of Pittsburg for a couple days. I pray everyone has a safe trip both coming and going...............Ken

Dry as a bone although our monsoon is on the way down here in AZ. Still I guess if I wanted rain more often I'd move somewhere that didn't have average temps above 100 degrees for half the year.
The thing that kills cars out here is the heat and UV. Kills the paint and turns the interior to dust.
