I joined here a while back but have not regularly checked it for a while. I usually hang out at the Chevelle forum because I have an older 72 elky.

I live just south of atlanta, georgia and am in the process of going pro touring with my el camino. I am 20 and its me and my dads father son project, except I buy all the parts and we wrench on it together.

Had it for about a year now and just bolted the front end back together after an extensive cleaning.

Anyways I wont bore you with everything but here are some pics of what I have so far.

That is a very clean front end/engine compartment. There are a lot of very helpful people here, so if you're ever having a problem just drop a question.

thanks guys.

My dad and I just monkey with it when we get time, but we got it up and running and I drive it like it is every day to work. I am suprised none of you elky guys noticed the vents in the fenders? :) my dad cut them in and made them.

As for paint. Right now my dad and I want to do satin black with gloss black racing stripes, just to be a little different. Plus I want a sinister sort of look to it and I think Satin will do that.

I am actually planning on pulling the rearend out this weekend to clean it up and put in new tubular lower control arms and adjustable upper control arms.

Thats a real nice car err.. truck. First thing I noticed where the vents its like they were ment to be there i really like them. i think black on black will give it a real mean look cant wait to see it when its done.. not that they are ever really "done" :nanawrench:
