So I just finished installing new rear control arms this passed week in my '72 and I must say I am a fan

ordered a set of UMI tubular lower control arms and adjustable uppers with spherical ends on them. They are pretty sweet looking and really stiffened up the rear. I also got to install my 7/8ths inch rear sway bar.

anyways while I was underneath I cleaned everything up and gave it some black paint.

Here's some pics

If you are thinking about aftermarket rear arms, the UMI stuff is a quality piece and priced right.

Don't mind the rear end cover, I have an aluminum one on the way to my house as I type this.

I don't know if they are on ebay or not? I got them right through their website.

I set them to the stock length right now just so I could drive it and I need to get a level to set pinion angle.

Basically there are 2 jam nuts and the middle rod is hexed so you can crank to adjust them. So its a matter of loosening jam nuts and turning the middle rod and then re tightening the Jam nuts.

http://www.metcomotorsports.com/ These guys make an Alluminum I beam style Control arms for G and A bodys. They are said to be alot stronger than tube steel. They look alot better too IMO.
