I was putting in a new battery. I was in a big hurry, and I accidentaly hit a metal line that went to a part of the A/C. It didn't work before either, but I'm not sure if I just blew out a fuse, or I killed my A/C for good. When I hit that line, the A/C components in the passenger side close to the firewall made a loud pop and shot out a puff of smoke. Anyone else have that problem? Or know what might have happened?

i think you just found the previous leak. loose fitting or cracked o-ring or line. if you go to charge the a/c it probably wont pull into a vacuum-you'll have to fix that first.

It was a very white whisp of smoke. I'll check to see if that's what it could've been. Thanks.
