hey everyone i finally decided on wha engine im going to use .. i found a wonderfull 350 engine out of an old truck its ready to be pulled dropped in and ready to go with little work needing to be done to it .. and it in beautiful shape i ended up buying the whole truck as well cuz it was in good shape too and i know someone who wants to buy it from me even tho by the time im done with it i tiwill have no engine or exhaust hah .. oh well

Sounds like a good deal.

I sure do like the newer generation blocks though. I'd actually like to get my hands on two new GMPP HT 383 Short blocks. Those are way better set ups than building a 383 from a 350 block. Some new pistons to give up about 10 or 10.5:1 static compression. A nice cam with Solid Roller lifters and a really nice set of Victor Heads or better some AFR heads. Its an easy 500 Hp even with a 650 carb. But money keeps me from it right now.
