hey guys,
i havent been here in a while because i have been busy enjoying this beautiful weather with my el camino! im actually entering it in a show in a couple weeks, proudly representing NECOA! anyways, one little problem with the elky i cant figure out, is when i turn a corner sharply and step on it, the elky almost dies, hesitates really, like its bogging down or something. what would cause this? carb needs tuning maybe?
thanks guys,
Spencer

The first thing to check would be the float level. Glad to see you back Spence.

You may also if not the float, you have passed some crud into your Carb, if it is ideling rough or tries to stall when you come to a stop then its a good bet. If this just happened out of no where than it should get worse. Holleys do it worse than others or mine has anyway.

Agreed !!! Float issue for sure. Most likely too high.

If it doesn't do it every time, there may be a piece of debris moving around in the bowl, covering the main jet orfice occasionally.

SEAFOAM it for 8 bucks (or something like that) if that dont fix it I promise you it will smooth out your idle, I swear by it. But it does sound like the float issue.
