Hi I've been trying to get the wiring all hooked up after putting the motor back in and i'm stuck:???: Could anyone with a 86 4.3 look at some wires and help me out:dontknow:
Here's my problems:
Where does the red wire from the fuel pump relay go?
What color wires go to the vacuum canister (2 prong male connector) and the same for the EGR solenoid?
Is it a green connector that plugs into the map sensor (3 prong male)?

Red fuel pump wire goes to fuel pump primer connector which is near the RH wheel well taped to the harness..

Vacumm canister purge relay wires are pink/black and green/yellow

Not sure on the color of the map saensor connector but the three wires are lt grn, gray and purple.

There is just a vacuum connection to the egr isn't there. Maybe someone else will chime in.

If the EGR is called the Electronic vacuum regulator valve the colors are pink/black and gray/red.

Cannister Purge Solenoid = pink/black and dark green/yellow

EGR Solenoid = pink/black and gray

Thanks for the help guys Im finally making progress again:nanawrench:I pulled my harness apart to look for the "fuel pump primer connector" but wasn't able to find anything. I do have a few more problems I could use help with. Sorry, but the BLUE TYPE your using is to hard to read with the background on your cardomain page, for this OLD BLIND cuss. Maybe someone else can assist, with better, younger eyes :poke:

The first picture shows your compressor cycling switch connector, (round, with two pins), the other connector, (flat two pin) is compressor clutch connector.

Second shows what is probably to your temperature switch wire.

Third shows your oil pressure switch connector.

Need a bigger picture of the connector end of the purple wire.

I'm sorry about the colors i knew it was too hard to read. this probably sounds dumb but where is the temperature switch and oil pressure switch? I don't know any of this:???:

Looks like I am probably off on the temp switch unless you have one in the left, (drivers side) head.

I've been looking for the fuel pump primer connector (where the red wire from the fuel pump relay connects) and I can't find it. I pulled my harness apart and can't find anything. So my question is where does that wire (to the fuel pump primer) go? Or where is the fuel pump primer? Sorry if this is confusing I know Im confused:???:

It does'nt connect anywhere. It's a direct connection to the pump for priming. Just tie it to the harness.
