If you have a computer, the Holly won't work with it. Neither will your distributor. The Holly will probably not fit your intake either unless the Holly has a spread bore base. The Q-Jet is hard to beat if it's running right. All carbs will need a rebuild at some time, even Hollys. If someone gave you one for free, it will probably need rebuilding. I recommend you spend the dough on what you have. The Q-jet is the only carb that will pass emissions tests on your Elky if that is required where you live.

+1 on what doug and coyote said my 87 still has the stock qjet and it has never been touched and i'tl still start on the first or maybe second rev and runs great I do preventive maint to it occasionaly cleaner run thru it etc it has 139000 miles on it and when it starts acting up I will rebuild it jim:texas:

I have a Holley 650 spreadbore. It is a single inlet with 2 bowls with a metering tube.

If your that set on changing it to a Holley~~~~~~~~~↑↑↑
No Smog, No Computer, THEN go with the Carb that novelle is offering.↑↑↑ AT LEAST you won't be dealing with an adapter, it would be the correct mounting for your Manifold.:dontknow:
