Welcome to the club-I also 'stole' this '81 a few months ago and plan on restoring it back to stock as a project with my 14 year old son. Some of the best memories I have as a kid were working with my grandfather on his '58 Impala. Good Luck & Have Fun.

Welcome CeeTee, always good to have new converts. I think you'll find that you have picked just the right car to bring back to glory. Look around the highways and you will see the nice ones are few, but growing in numbers. Once you start to make it look the way it was new everyone else will want it. As a matter of fact a good alarm system should be on your list of things to do. Enjoy the ride. Harald K

Welcom to the site, seetee. You'll find a lot of help and information here.

I recently spent a year in Louisiana working for the Dept. of Natural Resources and cultivated a real fondness for the gumbo. Most of my time was spent in Baton Rouge, but I did get to spend some time south of New Orleans in a little town called Thibidoux which is near Homa. I think that is the only place in the country where the locals routinely cut grass (lawn) in very shallow standing water! All the farm land appeared to be about 3 feet above sea level! Flood potential made it kinda scary for a fellow from hill country.
