Please consider this a formal, written, invitation to cross the regional borders and visit us here in New England for THE BEST SHOW of the year.
This show is for Chevelle’s and el Camino’s ONLY –you can look at it as a late summer weekend, visiting with your brothers (elkys) and all your cousins (chevelles)--- you should consider it a meeting of the tribes.
This is the fourth year of the show. I have been to the last three and wouldn’t miss it… the guys who run the show are the most hospitable group you will ever run into – genuinely interested in you and your car and your family – their show is just a way for them to meet more people and socialize.
The Show on Saturday is a 1000 point judged competition and I have found the judges to be knowledgable and consistant and honest – HOWEVER the judging and the “competition” are really secondary to the the atmosphere and the opportunity to spend time with guys from our branch of the Chevy family.
The New England Chevelle and El Camino Assoc. website (http://www.chev-el.com) will provide you with the flyer, reg forms, and lots of pics from previous shows etc Check it out !
I am also including a link to the Hotel (http://www.sturbridgehosthotel.com/) ($108 per night if you tell them you are there for the show) --- and --- also a link to Sturbridge Village (http://www.osv.org/) a local attraction, across the street from the show, which 80% of the school kids in Mass. go to on a field trip at least once during their academic career (a great place for the family to spend a few hours while Dad “talks cars”).
The show is less than a month from now so start making your plans
PLEASE UNDERSTAND
I am not "pushing" this show ------ I am pushing you all to come and have a great time.
SEE Y’ALL THERE -----------------August 22
