a while back i read an article about useing larger disc brake from a impala/caprice on an 80 ? elcaminos and also read the parts list it had does anyone recall this article send me in the right direction thanks 8)

You may want to check this out 12" LS-1 brake upgrade (http://www.montecarloss.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=18;t=002022). I was thinking of doing the b-body brake upgrade till i read this, seems like its a lot cheaper since you don't need the tubular upper control arms and you get bigger brakes. This is definitely on my list of future upgrades.

This not the article I was reading a couple of month ago it was using avalable stock parts from the full size implala and it gave a parts list of the parts needed to change over dont remember if it was this web site

Here's a link to the parts list for the swap that you are wanting to do, it has the GM part #'s, but remeber you will have get the tubular upper control arms from someplace like hotckins or global west or someplace like that. I have the caprice for the spindale and other nic nacs as for the 1le rotor how would i know that the one on a firebird has them im not sure of the year of bothe cars
