Hi all,

I am trying to replace my 1970 El Camino SS 396 alternator belt with an original GM v belt. Any one have any ideas of where to try? I went to the dealer and they said that the alternator belt was discontinued but the p/s belt and the a/c belt were still available that I just had to order them which I did.

this is an all original car which is why the belts are dry rotted on it. The car has 43,000 miles on it and I would like to keep it all GM.

Thanks for any help ya'll can give me.

Thanks,

Brian

I looked through the Year One catalog and they dont have any listing for any v belts at all. I dont have a Paddock catalog though.

Does anyone else have any info?

Thanks,

Brian
