I'm 16 and I am a Proud Winn-Dixie Customer Service Stocking crew associate.(stockboy) What sucks is- Winn-Dixie(grocery chain) Is slowly going out of busniness, but they keep me on the schedule with a fullfilling 6 hours a week. So every tuesday I go pick up my 33 and change and go home and cry.

I count beans for an oil and gas exploration and production company. I'm torn between seeing the high price per barrel of oil keep me in a job and keep me out of the Elky...

As a former vocational rehabilitation counselor, who made enough money to order a brand new 1977 El Camino from the factory, I am amused by this topic and the posts so far. Presently I am driving a truck for a living, and feeling that my college degree has perhaps gotten a little shop worn, in a job market that definitely favors the young, and more recently educated.
One theory that goes into making vocational interest tests, is that people who work in a particular occupation share general interests, as well as occupational ones. That enables the test designers to identify potential vocational interests by looking at what some folks like to do in general.
In this case we are looking at a general interest, El Caminos, and I will note that folks, from very different walks of life, all share an interest in these vehicles. You know, "Interesting people drive interesting cars".
I grew up with the El Camino, and even had dreams of becoming an automotive designer. To me, it is one of the most daring styling ventures that GM actually brought to market, and a very practical one at that. perhaps most of us are driven to work, by economic need, but we still have some choice in what we 'drive' to work. These days, maybe we have less choice about what we do, so we just try to enjoy the ride to work and more importantly, perhaps, the ride home.

Aircraft mechanic here with the Kentucky Air National Guard. Been on active duty for well over 2 years. Looking to either get a job as a full time civil service tech. There or a civilian mechanic with the airlines. or UPS. Real hard to get on at UPS though. But would love to make $40.00 an hour.....
