got home from work today, around 2:30, and i just finished putting in new accell shorty header spark plugs, new MSD wires (under warranty thank god), taking my time and making them loom very nice and pretty and while i was at it replaced an old header gasket (doubled the gaskets). yet i still have an exhaust leak! but because i felt the header i discovered my leak. there is a hole in the number two cylinder header right where it first bends. must have been a weak spot:dontknow: but at least i know where it is and i can patch it up tomorrow! long freakin day man...

P.S. i went to a chevy dealership and if anyone is having trouble with melting spark plugs boots, go to a dealership and have them look up a boot shield for a 95 camaro Z28, they are little aluminum boot covers to keep them from melting and help keep them cooler. i got two and use them on the number 5 and 6 cylinder spark plug boots. im thinking of getting 6 more and just covering all of them

Glad to hear you got your little problems fixed. Good tip on the spark plug heat shields.

I just did some repair on a 1988 C-50 with a 454 in it and it had some really nice slip over metal shields for the plug boots. I don't know if they are different than the Camaros but thought it might help in the search.
