Ladies and gentlemen;
I am in the process of stripping the original paint from my 80 Elky, and have run into 2 problems.
1) the chrome/rubber seal at the quarter window, how is it removed ?
2) the chrome drip rail, before I destroy it, is there a safe/correct way to remove it ?

by the way I have stripped 99% of the paint from the body exterior using a product called Aircraft Stripper from S/W and a 4" stripper disc from 3-M so far I have a week's worth of evenings in it .
remaining is to do the door/jambs inside .
thanks in advance !!

Get the rubber out. It is going to be nasty. There are screws hidden under the rubber.

Start at the end by the bed and ease the bottom out and up. Once it starts you can work your way to the end by the front of the door glass.

Quarter window seals, you have to pull the glass out, 2 phillips head screws in the sealant holds it in place.
Chrome trim, just like noted above, for the front piece you have to unscrew the trim that holds the weatherstripping in place then you can get to the screws that hold the trim in place.
