Was wondering what happened to ?, where is he/she, hope nothing bad. Maybe just sold the elky and did not want to belong to NECOA anymore. A small post saying good bye would be nice so we don't worry. :dontknow:

Well to start, it seems quite a few regulars were lost in the long change over to the new server and site. I believe some just did not like the change. I know I almost didn't come back as I tended to like the simplicity of the old site myself. Now it looks like all the other cookiecutter car sites. I believe that is why some have left.
Then over time you see the change in the attitudes of new mwmbers that join and the whole atmosphere changed, not necessarily for the good. I have to admit hat the friendliness that once was here is not the same as before.
That said.
Some may be distracted by Jobs or family matters. Some economic times may have caught up with them and they had to sell the Elky and don't feel like talking about their bad times. Some may even had to give up their internet service!
Yes it would be nice to know where some of our long time on line friends went but they have no obligation to tell us what is going on if they don't want to. Some people are just more private than others.:dontknow:

I think it would be nice if the people that were leaving would just make a post saying (goodbye), however there could be many reasons for people not doing so. Maybe most plan on returning.
I myself ask my wife should something happen to me to post a note of my thanks, and the enjoyment I've had here with you people:You_Rock:
I don't wish to just (vanish) without saying goodbye. But anything can happen, sometimes not for the better.
I've made a lot of friends here and gotten a lot of useful knowledge. This is the only forum I belong to and I don't have any desire for any others.
We've all had friends just vanish in the past and we wonder what happened and how their doing. But all you can do is wish them luck, hope for their happiness, and remember them with joy in your heart. (sound like a preacher?)
It turely is a small world so you never know.

i personally like to slide into a forum with little fanfare. i also tend to be overlooked at most sites. as for me leaving, i might take a vacation now and then but i usually come back.

I didn't Vanish i just quit Posting--once and a while i read the posts but got tired of the "Know it alls" who like to critisize others posts--nothing new it happens a lot everywhere--:argue::screwy: glenn

I've never met anyone that is on this site personaly but from hangin around and reading the posts I have learned one hell of a lot of good stuff here mostly the good people that said some of the older members may have passed away but we have had a lot of new people come on board to rekindle the ranks some like myself don't have the knowlage that some of you have but every time I read a post and the replies I gain on you a little bit so I see it as the younger or should I say newer members are just like the old friends that we new just hane'nt known them as long god bless you all jim:texas:

Got a PM from James. Except for a little knee trouble he is doing fine. But he has been dealing with an illness in the family. Said he has been riding the VRod a lot lately too!

I was gone for 2 months and no one noticed...and no I wasn't in county lockup either for bashing owners of Ford Rancheros...although the thought did cross my mind. We do have some strange laws here in Illinois...I do think Ford owner bashing IS one of them. :dontknow:

Real life has taken over. My El has been sitting for the best part of four years now... I also have my GN and now a '47 Chevy coupe I inherited. Lost my job in Cali and had to move back to Alaska since I couldn't afford my condo down there anymore. Life is sucking... Also this place seemed to be down more than it was up so I kinda gave up on it. Is it better now?
