79 El Camino-need a door hinge spring

If nobody has one they're willing to part with...try the boneyard. Any G-body hinge spring is the same...however if you take the entire hinge to replace your hinge, make sure you take the same hinge as the one you need the spring for...the hinges themselves differ from left and right...try to find one that's not worn out and needs to be rebuilt. If you have a U-Pull-It yard, it shouldn't be more than a couple of bucks if you remove it. Any 78-88 2dr G body car will work. Pretty easy to find them.

If I remember right the 4 door hinge is the same and will have less wear due to not living it's life with a monster of a door haning on it!

i think the 4 door cars are a smaller spring.

4 doors use the same hinges as the 2 doors on all 4 doors. When shopping for used hinges, pull them off of the rear of a 4 door car. They're often like brand new.
