: Hello, New member, '79 caballero laredo
Anthony730 09-13-2009, 09:57 AM Hello im new to the forum. I recently got my first car, a '79 Caballero Laredo. Its in great condition and it runs like a beast. All of the problems are just cosmetic, and theres only a few, mostly the dash. Its getting reupholstered here in a few weeks. I'd always wanted an el camino for as long as i can remember. Well i joined this forum because i have a few questions, and wanted to talk to other el camino owners.
Will monte carlo and el camino parts of the same year fit my '79 caballero?
Are there other cars' parts that will work?
Are there any parts dealers that specialize in caballeros/ el caminos?
The dash is in pretty bad shape, and i would like to find a new one soon. All i can find are just covers. Does anyone know where i can get one? its red

FIRST ELKY 4 ME 09-13-2009, 05:03 PM Welcome! A lot of the G Body car parts are interchangeable, Chevelle and Monte Carlo for sure. I agree, that dash looks pretty good along with the rest of the car.

and the dash looks good in the pictures because it has a cover on it haha. Its siliconed down and i didnt wanna lift it up all the way, so i just peeked under the edges, but the parts i did see were REALLY bad.
