I haven't determined what the motor is yet. Small block. May be the original.
I'm in the North San Diego area.

Nice!It looks like it had its shifter on the column and you changed it to the floor. That's exactly what i want to do to my 66.

Thanks, but I was having a little fun here on the forum. It's a trick question. The pic of it torn apart is it's current condition. The fully upholstered pic is the way it looked when I got it in April. We're doing a major renovation. Revised dash, better seats, 3-point retractable belts, new carpet and upholstery, different shifter, filling unneeded holes in the floor and firewall, re-wiring, power windows.......

SoCal Elk, When do you think your Elky will be back no the road? She looked good when I saw her down here in San Diego. Did you find the leak from the cowl vent?
Keep us posted.

6-8 weeks? :???:
Yes, The leaks at the firewall are from various unsealed penetrations in the firewall itself from previous attempts at modification. We're fabricating firewall "smoothing" plates to seal everything at once instead of patching here and there. The cause of the leak(s) at the firewall and right kick panel led to the decision to just fix everything at once and upgrade the interior at the same time.
Also decided to scrap the attempt to revive the factory A/C and am waiting for the newly engineered (unique to factory a/c 64-65 cars) Vintage Air unit to arrive. Going with the VA kit will solve the kick panel leak issue.
Cheers
