Hey guys I'm looking especially for a rear sway bar for my 5th gen but while I was posting I would like to pick up a performance front sway bar as well. I need it in Lincoln nebraska so if you could include a shipping estimate that would be great. Thanks

Their are a ton of different places online that will send them to you to fit your application. If your El Camino is all stock then any g body sway bar should be fine. If you want to go nuts and get an upgrade Hotchkis (http://www.hotchkis.net/7888_gm_g_body_extreme_sway_bar_set.html)makes both front and back sway bars. If you drag your El Camino a lot then a front sway is not necessary.

I second the nomination of Hotchkis sway bars. I have them front and back, I love 'em. Check with Summit Racing for a good price. You can't go wrong with the entire package that Hotchkis offers for the EC. This is assuming you want a ride that carves the corners. As Tuggy said, if you are going for a pure drag setup, you won't need a front bar. Just extra weight and you're only running a straight line....

I'm not racing. I just want something that corners better. I am looking for the front and rear sway bar from a monte ss I just didn't want to limit the replies. Its my daily drive and it corners terribly, to the point its ridiculous

I have both the front and rear complete, with mounting hardware for the rear. I am not positive, but I think I have ther front hardware also. These bars are cleaned and painted. If you are interested, either PM me or email directly to bkissel@chartermi.net
I am having a terrible time getting this site to load so a direct email would probably be best.

Kindest Regards

Shocks and or Springs may be in order, if in fact your discription is correct.
You would be better to FIX your issue rather than to try and mask it.
But hay~ What do I know?

Too true Coyote, but this is my daily driver and when I replace that stuff I will do the bushings on the A-arms etc and that is too much $ right now, plus These pieces are getting hard to find I've searched all the local yards and come up empty. But good advice none the less and as usual. Thanks

You can also use the front bars off the 82-92 Camaro/Firebirds. Look for the IROC/Z28 and WS6 emblems.

When you upgrade the bars, spend the few extra $$ for a front polyurethane bushing and link kit-It's well worth the expense. If you're looking for most bang for the buck, stick with used factory bars from a Monte SS, Buick T-Type, 442 etc, and invest in some premium shocks such as Bilstein or Edelbrock. You won't regret it.

I agree with Tom, the Camaro/Firebird front bar is big (36 mm I think), but the real advantage is that they are hollow. Much lighter than my 1.25" GN front bar.
