Hi again everyone,

After checking out what the original color was supposed to be on the vacuum pod for the cruise control, I have been told that it is an extremely rare option to have on my el camino, let alone for a chevelle. Would anyone have any numbers to support this or some place where I can look to see if it is indeed a rare option? The set up is the cable type, not the common chain which is on the pod. Any help in solving this mystery would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi Terry,

Yes I did read your reply on my CD2 option. My cars final assembly date was the 4th week in April of 1970 so it is entirely possible that my car was one of the last to have had the windshield washer jar monitor on it. Someone had told me there were only 731 or there abouts cars made with the cruise master for chevelles but he didnt know about the el caminos if they were included in that number or not.

anyone else have any interesting facts or figures about the cruise control units for the 1970 model chevy year?
