Hey guys! I need some input on the cowl induction.
I'm not much of the mechanic type.
I don't think mine is working right.
When the engine is off, the hood flap should be open, correct?
Or when the engine is running , it should also be open or closed?
Jump on the gas & the hood flap closes?
Correct me if I'm wrong. Explain how it should be.
Mine doesn't seem to move.
What do I need to do to fix? Replace?

The inner flapper is useless. It actually blocks air flow to a large degree even when it's open.

It should be open when the engine is off, closed when the engine is running but open when accelerating.
